Located on the Deltaweg in Helmond, the new Deltaweg health center is a collective building for a pharmacy and physiotherapist on the ground floor and a general practice, dietetics and podiatry on the top floor. The interior of the upper floor includes a waiting area with a reception desk. The back office and team/meeting room are located behind the reception desk. All treatment rooms are positioned around the central waiting room to achieve a clear routing and separation of functions.
The benches in the waiting area are designed in such a way that the relatively large, light space is divided into different zones, including a children’s play corner. The reading zone is formed by a wall with recessed magazine rack from which a reading table comes. A TV has also been incorporated in a recess of the wall, which only becomes visible behind mirrored glass after the TV broadcasts an image.
The Corian reception desk has an inviting character due to the open connection with the visitors. The raised oak elements give the receptionist the necessary privacy. The use of high-quality materials such as Corian in the counters and tables, as well as the modest use of color, give the interior a functional and calm character, where all the different functions function as a unit.
